Chimeratech Fortress Dragon--the card that has been in and out of everybody's Extra Deck ever since it's release. With Cyber Dragon at two the card can be a seriously vital asset to you winning the game, but what makes it so great is that you can use your opponent's Cyber Dragon to special summon him; this makes it extremely easy to turn around a game where the opponent has casually left out a Cyber Dragon and another machine on the field. Between being a monster beatstick for Cyber Dragon decks and a very useful card against decks that use Cyber Dragon, this card is definitely something you should always consider when making your Extra Deck.
By sending a Cyber Dragon and as many machine type monsters on the field(minimum of one) to the Graveyard you can special summon Chimeratech Fortress Dragon. For every machine monster that was sent to the graveyard your giant Chimeratech gains 1000 attack points. In short the minimum amount of attack this card can gain is 2000. Now why would you send your own Cyber Dragon, who has 2100 attack, to special summon a monster with 2000 attack? Here's the thing, you can send your opponent's Cyber Dragon to the graveyard to special summon him. Assuming your opponent leaves a Cyber Dragon out on the field you can easily special summon your own Cyber Dragon(or summon a machine monster) and then send them both to the Graveyard to special summon Chimeratech. It's essentially a way to make your opponent lose a monster without you having to pay a cost, which is pretty awesome.
However there are many other uses for Chimeratech Fortress Dragon as well. As you've noticed Cyber Dragon has come back to the use of two giving Machine decks back their biggest easy-to-summon monster. Newly released Machina monsters can abuse Chimeratech Fortress Dragon very easily. Cards such as Machina Fortress are easily searched out and special summoned. Because Machina Fortress can special summon himself almost whenever you can use him as fusion material for Chimeratech and then special summon him again! However Machinas might not swarm fast enough for you. Morphtronics however can swarm faster than most decks this format. With Morphtronics it's very easy to get 4 other monsters on the field to use as material for Chimeratech, and then still be able to swarm some more for some synchro summons. And then of course there are always the old fashioned 'Cydra' Decks. Cydra Decks are played like they used to be. Dekoichi and Cyber Valley for draw power, Cyber Phoenix and Jinzo for protection, and Chimeratech Overdragon and Chimeratech Fortress Dragon as the ultimate boss card to take out the opponent.
Chimeratech Fortress Dragon is an essential card to any Extra Deck and should always be used; and in those Machine decks you should use at least two.
